Paul receives an emotional message from Claire. He can hear the deep sadness behind her words and believes she might commit suicide. But Paul does not know Claire. This is a message left on the wrong man’s phone. A message that will lead Paul to a brief encounter with Claire.

PHILIPPE ANDRÉ DIRECTOR
While at Film School in Paris, Philippe directed documentaries about music. Upon graduating, he worked for the Museum of Modern Art and The Centre Pompidou Paris, making videos on their many and varied exhibitions. He also took part in the launching of a cable TV channel : Planete, designing its logos and idents, then for Paris Première.
Philippe furthered his film career by transitioning into directing music videos, winning many awards (Victoire de la musique in Paris, Cad’s, Brit’s and Mobo awards in London, German dance awards).
The first music video he shot in London for the All Saints developed into a short film called ‘The Bridge’ released in the UK prior to Tarantino’s feature ‘Jackie Brown’. He has worked with such artists as Placebo, Roger Sanchez, Morcheeba, Faithless, Dido, Youssou N’Dour, Texas, Hooverphonic, Amina, Emilie Simon, Zazie, Ute
Lemper, Alain Souchon, Alain Chamfort …. Many of Andre’s videos have been screened at the American Cinémathèque in Hollywood.
Music videos led naturally to commercials where Philippe’s reputation has grown to one of international acclaim. Philippe is a multi awarded director (Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, London International Advertising Awards, New York Festival TV Advertising Awards...).
After leaving school Philippe wrote and directed a first short film entitled ‘Le Tourbillon de la Vie’ in homage to François Truffaut.
In 2006, Philippe wrote and directed ‘The Rope’ starring Natasha Wightman, music by Max Richter. The film was in the Official selection at many US Festivals such as Los Angeles International Short Film Festival, The New York City Big Apple Film Festival, The San Francisco Independent Film Festival, The Palm Spring Film Festival, The Sarasota Film Festival… It was awarded Grand Jury Prize for Best Narrative at the One Reel / Seattle International Film Festival.
Philippe has co-written two feature films scripts: The Briefest Second and Starless (shortlisted at the Sundance Screenwriter’s lab 2014), currently in development.
Philippe is a member of the DGA (Director’s Guild of America).
